Why would you want to sent yourself a notification about an event that you just created?

One of the requirements I see in the field a lot is having a local calendar as well as a remote one (i.e. ability to view offline on the go). Would be great if horde had an option to send notifications of a new event to the owner of the event. Maybe by having the owner automatically made an attendee?
