I could reproduce this and it is now fixed in HEAD and 4.1.0.

In addition, is it normal that the function userConfirmationNeeded() in the same file, on line 98, return True by default ? Yes. The default is to require user input to send a MDN. It takes a specific set of circumstances to occur to send a MDN automatically.

I don't even get a notification request with that message. Anyway, try upgrading to IMP 4.1-RC1, or RC2 which should be out soon.
