I agree, but how is the data any more usable in the example?  At some 
point, there simply is no way to present all of the x-axis entries.   
I'd argue that that 14 is already apparently too many.  What would you 
say to 50 entries?  100?  1000?  You have to have a cut-off at some 
point, no?

Why? Loosing data (as in "not being displayed") is much worse than 
loosing some descriptions.

Shouldn't the array be limited to what will render properly?

They line up perfectly. You just have to much data on the x-axis to 
fit on the legend completely.

As shown in the attached graph, names on the x-axis aren't lining up 
properly with their corresponding bars (or vice versa).  This is on 
Whups 1.0-cvs, Horde 3.1-cvs.
