The patch to tree_folders.php is reverse, and you seem to have made the patch against FRAMEWORK_3. Please make your patch against HEAD.

The attached patch restricts how deep into the mailfolders the sidebar loads. This reduces load time for people with large numbers of folders. A better version would also not load shared mailboxes or do ondemand loading.
