While IMP replaces the old signature with the new one when I switch to
another identity, that doesn't happen while using stationeries.
I'd still prefer my original suggestion. It would be much more flexible, IMHO.

signature. It would be very useful, though, if it was possible to
define any number of signatures which then could be chosen for use
during message composition independently of the identity used.
For ease of use and backwards compatibility, each identity should
nevertheless get one default signature assigned.
