problems appear.
I'm unable to test this properly. I've just committed a small change
to the Kolab theme however, updating it to look more like the current
kolab.org page. Does it perhaps fix this issue?

problems on IE for Windows under XP, this rendering issue with Firefox
on OS X, and it totally breaks IE on OS X (one of many reasons we
dropped support for it).
I advised the user this is occuring to switch themes. And I guess
I'll have to consider switching our default theme prior to widespread
deployment.
a background image. This is definitely a bug in Gecko, and I have
absolutely no idea how we could work around that without stabbing in
the dark.
I can reproduce consistently on our production site and the only
differences I could find between it and another site with identical
code was hooked fullname and from_addr, and themes. I'm using the
Kolab theme and after switching to something else, the relict goes away.

default, the cursor loads at the top of the compose form, instead of
the bottom. So they've switched to doing that (I abhor
HTML-by-default email personally).
But, in the process, a bug, either in Firefox, or in the HTML editor
module is triggered, when using OS X. I can consistently reproduce
this with OS X, using Firefox 1.0.2 and 1.0.3. I cannot reproduce on
Linux or Windows.
1) Set 'compose_html' to true.
2) Compose a new message. Basically, the compose window comes up
with the plaintext version, then loads the HTML editor to switch to
HTML mode (that delay is causing problems but it may just be
unavoidable). When you switch focus from the compose portion of the
form to the To: field, a grey relict shows up in the top part of the
screen (see attached screenshot).
