No, that's catch people using realms, etc. You should just set a 
from_addr hook.

yes.  in our case it is, I forgot that it doesn't always have to be 
though.  Maybe a check for an @ in the user string ?

Doesn't this patch assume that the user's username is a full email address?

If a queue owners default identity has an empty from address, which is 
acceptible for sending out mail through imp, they do not receive email 
notification from whups.  Attached is a patch that fixes this by using 
the email address assigned to the queue if an empty email is found in 
the users identity.
