When creating a bug, tickets are always sent to all responsible
parties regardless of whether the bug is assigned.

Is this the expected behaviour?

Superb! Thanks very much for getting around to this before I did!

I do wonder about Ben's suggestion on the devel mailing list... there
are times where you'd want to see all traffic on a particular queue
but not all the others.

Maybe not though. Does the submitter always see all traffic on a ticket?

It's a difficult one and all to easy to keep on adding options to fine tune.

There's now a new configuration option under the 'Email Settings' tab
to control this. Just set $conf['mail']['incl_resp'] to false to
exclude the responsible users from emails about a ticket that has been
assigned. (of course, any responsible users who are listed as ticket
owners will continue to receive email).

Is this more or less what you were after?

Correct Ronny, that is what i ment.

We have been using Whups in the company for a while now, and the email
notifications is not a big problem. The responsibles in the different
groups think its ok to receive information/updates about different
issues.

Still i would be nice to add or remove the email notification.

I don't think this was the requesters intention, but what you think
makes sense.

I would make this a configuration item that makes the notifications
*not* being sent to all responsible users of the queue as soon as a
user or group has been assigned to the ticket.

If I understand correctly, what the bug owner is saying is that all
persons marked as responsible for a queue receive all bug traffic for
that queue regardless of whether they are bug owner, assignee or
whatever.

This can get a little noisy with developers receiving unnecessary traffic.

It would be nice if there was an option to determine whether all
responsible persons received all queue traffic. Should it be a
per-person option or global? Or both?

With pointers, I could probably come up with a patch for this - I've
done little Horde hacking (couple of accepted patches to ingo) but
know PHP fairly well.

Try to explain again, I don't see the difference between the 2
alternate scenarios you described.

When a new ticket is made, all the persones added as responsible to a
group recives an email. Is it possible to setup the notification, so
its only the responsible person who recieves the mail ?
