it is possible to display PGP encrypted mail, it cannot be so difficult to quote it. what is the exact problem? Because we don't use the same code to display messages (MIME_Viewer) when we quote messages (code in IMP_Compose). There is no easy, backward compatible way to use the MIME_Viewer code. And we are not going to hack in a substantial amount of code in IMP_Compose to do this kind of conversion. this problem will be fixed when the MIME library components are rewritten for Horde 4. i would dive into code and invest some time if you described the general difficulty of the issue... Obviously, this would be great.

this answer is not really satisfying... it is possible to display PGP encrypted mail, it cannot be so difficult to quote it. what is the exact problem? i would dive into code and invest some time if you described the general difficulty of the issue... thx, mike

This has been known about for more than a year. http://lists.horde.org/archives/imp/Week-of-Mon-20040412/037589.html However, no one has yet to find a solution. If you want to submit a patch, that would be great.

If I happen to receive an pgp encrypted message and I want to send a reply then Imp will copy the encrypted message as is to the compose reply message window. This makes the reply function nearly useless or at least it works unexpected ways, usually the user might want to quote something from the original decypted message. Message should first be decrypted and then copied to the compose reply message window.
