Then add a uid attribute, or don't use posixAccount.

Everything in the bug description should say dc=blah,dc=com.  I
altered it in the form from the original, and forgot part of one.

After my patch to quote fields with commas, I get the following:

There was an error updating this entry: Failed to change name: (65)
Object class violation; Old DN =
uid=ldillon,ou=People,dc=er2,dc=blah,dc=com, New DN = cn="Dillon,
Lance", Root = dc=blah,dc=com

The openldap log says the following:

Jan 13 08:32:09 circe slapd[1703]: conn=37566 op=3 MODRDN
dn="uid=ldillon,ou=Peo

ple,dc=blah,dc=com"

Jan 13 08:32:09 circe slapd[1703]: Entry (cn=Dillon\2C
Lance,dc=blah,dc=com): object

class 'posixAccount' requires attribute 'uid'

Jan 13 08:32:09 circe slapd[1703]: entry failed schema check: object
class 'posixAccount' requires attribute 'uid'
