When activated an DesktopNotification for an event in Kronolith, 
while reading mails in dimp, gives a notification as shown in the 
attachment. Seems, as if there are vars to be passed, missing?
You mean inline notifications.
And in general I would be interested, when these notifications are 
fired. Does an Kronolith-notification always appear, even when user 
is busy in *any* other (traditional/ajaxified) application?
Yes.
Will there be notifications about newly arrived mails? I've not 
found that so far, but it would be great.
Unfortunately not, because IMP isn't using the alarm framework for new 
mail notifications yet.
