The permissions to edit or delete entries in mnemo or kronolith depend on the case of the login.
The IMAP login is case insensitive, when a user logs in with lower case letters he can see his notes/appointments he made when being logged e.g. using a capital in his username but is unable to edit or delete them. Neither can he create a new entry.
