If you change the patch so that the tls parameter is one of the configuration items (from backends.php) for any particular server, instead of a global conf value, I'm sure this will be accepted. Thanks!

It would be nice to have a config-option in ingo if ingo should use tls-encryption during the connect to sieve or not. Since the latest release of Net_Sieve it's possible to enable/disable tls (more information http://pear.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=8071 ). I attached a patch for it.
