True.
No, that would require inspecting your entire calendar, tasklists, etc. from within Horde's options.
There could be some nice inline javascript that allowed you to pick colors for categories right on the legend, and that would add them, though...
Thanks for your help, but I still wonder if the categories list that appears at the bottom of my calendar including all the shared calendar's could simply appear in the Label Options without the need to add the category myself. Yes, I know its lazy but it seems simple enough and could save users a good 1.2 seconds per category.State ⇒ Rejected
What you can do is add your own category entry and assign colors to it. Categories are just strings, and you create your own color for any label you have.State ⇒ New

The calendar is great, but I encounter one thing that would greatly aid my organization. When viewing shared-calendars I get to see each "category" that every individual calendar/user uses for its/his own events (they appear directly below the calendar on the left). But, I can only change my own categories' colors (Options>Global Options>Categories and Labels). Shared calendar's categories do not appear in the options so I cannot modify category-colors originating from a shared calendar; therefore all shared categories are colored as "Unfiled" or "Default".Please note this occours when using show & read permissions only. I have not yet tested this with full permissions.
