For those unhappy with the current search interface, a compromise: I
could see a configuration option (conf.php) being 'Default search
field' which could be set differently for each installation and with
the default being 'No default field' in order to maintain the current
functionality out of the box.  Comments?
I'm not unhappy with it, although I can see where a user may get
frustrated with
it.  A preference was going to be my suggestion, although after I
thought about
that, maybe a Horde wide search module might appear at some point, which would
transcend all apps, and make that preference obsolete, so I retired the
thought.

I think a fixed, sensible default criteria (either Text or Body) would
be sufficient.
