There's now a String::convertCharset at a lot of places. I don't know
of any more to put it.

I agree that using UTF8 for vcard 3.0 makes sense.

I think this would be too confusing for users, most of them can't tell
the difference. But we need the vCard 3.0 support internally, i.e. for
SyncML, this is actually where I'm heading at.

The export in Turba should only support one version, probably 2.1.

How about making two buttons instead of one. Export as vCard 2.1,
Export as vCard 3.0.

Obviously every developer in the world thinks this a serious flaw in
the vCard 3.0 specs.

I don't know if this guy knows what he is talking about, but his
conclusion sounds reasonable to me:

There is nothing we could do about this right now. Closing until
someone comes up with a proper solution.

This rather a problem of the framework libraries than Turba.

There doesn't seem to be a solution currently without downgrading to
vCard 2.1. Stalled until someone comes up with a proper solution.

Problem still exist.

I was playing with OS regional setting the other day, and found that
this bug is regional settings dependent. Tested on WinXP + IE6SP1. It
needs more testing on other platforms though. Will try it at home in
the evening.
