I think the best solution is to genericize the code in 
Jonah_Delivery_email::_deliver() 
[http://dev.horde.org/api/jonah/Jonah/Jonah_Delivery_email.html#method_deliver] and have the delivery and sharing subsystems both call the common "story-to-email message" 
code.

If an HTML story is shared the HTML contents of the story are sent raw 
as part of the body of the email, rather than with the correct MIME 
part encoding.
