INSTALL file states, IM version 6.5.7 or better is recommended.
Earlier versions, down to 6.2.9 will *work* but may cause problems
with some features. The IM software is horrible as far as retaining
backwards compatibility between versions. It's near impossible to deal
with all the different possibilities when just using IM. When using
Imagick, we don't have *any* control over these issues, since the
Imagick interface remains constant.

background on the images. i'm using pecl imagick extension 3.0.1with
imagick version 6.3.7 wich is provided by zend server. thumbnail
setting is set to png
